Rum Drinks First, Wine List Last

Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Bahama Breeze reads exactly how you'd expect a corporate Caribbean chain to approach wine: safe, predictable, and clearly assembled by committee in a Florida office park. Nothing here is going to surprise you, and that's kind of the point — this list exists so people can order wine without thinking about it.
Twenty to thirty bottles, all chain-standardized, all pulled from the greatest hits of grocery store shelves. California and New Zealand carry the weight, with a few Italian bottles rounding out the edges. There's no regional curiosity, no indie producers, no attempt to nod toward Caribbean wine culture (not that there's much to nod at, but still). What you get is Kim Crawford, Meiomi, Kendall-Jackson — wines that exist because focus groups approved them.
Eight to twelve pours by the glass, ranging from $8 to $13, which sounds reasonable until you realize these are bottles you can grab at Total Wine for $10–$15 retail. The rotation doesn't rotate — this is a set-and-forget program that changes when corporate says so, not when seasons or curiosity demand it.
Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling — $9
Off-dry Riesling is actually a smart call with spicy Caribbean food, and Ste. Michelle punches above its price point. On a list this flat, this is the one pick that makes some sense.
La Marca Prosecco
Nobody comes to Bahama Breeze looking for bubbles, but an ice-cold glass of La Marca with a plate of coconut shrimp on the patio is more fun than it has any right to be. Don't overthink it.
Kendall-Jackson Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay
A $14 retail bottle showing up on this list for $38–$42 is a quiet rip-off dressed up in a recognizable label. The markup math here is not your friend.
Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling + Jerk Chicken Pasta
The residual sugar in the Riesling cools down the heat from the jerk spice while the wine's acidity cuts through the pasta richness. It's the one combination on this list where the food and wine are actually talking to each other.
❌ The Bottom Line
You're not coming to Bahama Breeze for the wine list, and honestly, that's fine — order a rum cocktail and call it a day. But if someone at the table insists on wine, point them toward the Riesling and keep your expectations firmly at sea level.
