First Impression
Walking into Crew, you get the immediate sense that someone here actually thought about the wine list โ it doesn't feel like an afterthought bolted onto a farm-to-table concept. The Hudson Valley setting earns its keep on the list, with local producers sitting alongside Burgundy and Napa without any awkwardness. It's a list that respects where it is geographically while reaching outward, and that's rarer than it should be.
Selection Deep Dive
The 80-120 bottle list leans into three distinct pillars: New York (led by Millbrook Vineyards and Brotherhood Winery), California (Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, Napa Cab), and France (Burgundy Pinot Noir). The Hudson Valley representation is the real selling point here โ you're not going to find Millbrook on the list at most restaurants outside this region, and it earns its spot. California fills in the crowd-pleaser gaps competently, and the Burgundy selection adds enough old-world credibility to keep things interesting. The gaps show up in Southern Europe and the Southern Hemisphere โ if you're hunting for a Ribera del Duero or a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, you're out of luck.

Millbrook is the Hudson Valley's most serious producer and this bottle drinks well above its regional price point. At this price, you're getting a wine with genuine terroir story that would cost significantly more if it carried a Willamette Valley or Burgundy label.
Brotherhood Winery New York Red
America's oldest winery doesn't get the respect it deserves and most diners skip right past it to reach for Napa. That's a mistake. Brotherhood represents a piece of American wine history sitting right in the restaurant's backyard, and at Crew's price point it's an honest, interesting pour worth the detour.
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Generic Napa Cab is where wine lists go to coast, and at $90-$120 a bottle in a restaurant context you're almost certainly paying a steep premium for a brand name rather than a story. The local bottles are more interesting and better value โ save the Napa impulse for a steakhouse.
Sonoma Coast Chardonnay + Hudson Valley Duck
A cool-climate Sonoma Coast Chard brings enough acidity and restrained fruit to cut through duck fat without overwhelming the meat's richness โ and it keeps the Hudson Valley spirit alive by reaching for something that mirrors the region's own cool-weather character.
