The wine list at Daniel's Broiler lands with the same confident thud as the menu itself — heavy on prestige, unapologetically carnivore-forward. You're getting 400-plus labels anchored by Pacific Northwest royalty and Napa heavy-hitters, which makes sense when you're staring at a USDA Prime ribeye and a view of Lake Union. This is a list built to impress expense accounts.

Selection Deep Dive

Washington State is the clear star here, and rightfully so — Quilceda Creek and Leonetti Cellar Cabernets are the kind of bottles that remind you why this state belongs in the conversation with Napa. Cayuse's En Chamberlin Vineyard Syrah makes an appearance and it's one of the more interesting picks on the list, a nod to the Walla Walla fringe crowd. Napa fills out the rest of the big-reds column with Jordan, Far Niente, and Duckhorn doing the familiar steakhouse circuit. Bordeaux gets a seat at the table but doesn't dominate, and if you're hunting for Burgundy, Rhône, or anything European and adventurous, you're going to leave a little disappointed.

Twenty to thirty-five pours by the glass is a legitimately strong program for a steakhouse, and the quality ceiling is higher than most. You're not stuck choosing between Kendall-Jackson and something unpronounceable — there's real range here. Rotation feels more static than dynamic, but what's there is well-curated for the room.

Jordan is one of those producers that gets underrated because it's everywhere, but the Alexander Valley Cab consistently over-delivers at its price point. In a room where the ceiling hits $300+, this is the bottle that lets you drink well without doing math all night.

Cayuse Vineyards En Chamberlin Vineyard Syrah

Most people come here locked in on Cabernet, and the Cayuse Syrah just sits there quietly being spectacular. Walla Walla Syrah at this level is some of the most compelling wine Washington makes, and it's criminally overlooked in a steakhouse context. Order it.

Far Niente Chardonnay

It's a fine wine. It's also a wine you're paying a significant steakhouse premium on in a room that's built for red meat. Far Niente Chard is a nice-occasion bottle at retail — here it's a pricey placeholder that doesn't especially shine next to the food on this menu.

Leonetti Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon + Daniel's Prime Steak

Leonetti Cab is the definitive Washington statement wine — structured, dark-fruited, built for exactly this moment. A USDA Prime cut with that kind of tannin backbone is a textbook match, and you're eating it with one of the best Cabs in the state. Hard to argue with that.

Daniel's Broiler isn't trying to be a wine bar and it doesn't pretend to be — it's a well-run steakhouse with a serious list, a sommelier who knows their stuff, and markups that will sting if you're paying personally. Go for the Washington Cabs, ignore the pricing anxiety, and enjoy the lake view.
