Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Ebb & Flow is short, familiar, and built for the Legacy West crowd — people who want something they recognize without spending too much time thinking about it. Twelve labels, twelve by-the-glass options, and a price ceiling that keeps things accessible. It's not trying to impress anyone, and mostly it doesn't.
California dominates here, with Decoy, Boen, Sonoma Cutrer, and Hess Shirtail Ranches holding down the familiar end of the spectrum. There's a nod to Argentina with Montes Malbec, New Zealand shows up via Allan Scott Sauvignon Blanc, and Italy checks in with Benvolio Pinot Grigio and Jeio Prosecco. What's missing is any real depth — no aged bottles, no interesting producers, no surprises. This is a list designed to offend nobody, which means it excites nobody either.
Every bottle on the list is also available by the glass, which is a genuinely useful setup for a spot where cocktails are clearly the main event. Glass pours top out at $15 and start around $1 during happy hour (4–8pm), which is a real deal if you catch it. The selection doesn't rotate, but at these prices you won't complain too loudly.
Allan Scott Sauvignon Blanc — $12/glass
Allan Scott is a legit Marlborough producer making clean, citrus-driven Sauvignon Blanc that works hard at any price. At this price point in a seafood-focused restaurant, it's the obvious call and the smartest spend on the list.
Hess Shirtail Ranches Chardonnay
Most people reach for Sonoma Cutrer on instinct, but the Hess Shirtail Ranches Chardonnay is the quieter move — sourced from Mount Veeder and Monterey, it tends to run leaner and more mineral than the big-butter crowd-pleasers. Worth a look if you want your Chardonnay to actually taste like wine.
Chandon Brut
At $55 a bottle or $12 a glass, Chandon is doing a lot of heavy lifting for a mid-tier California sparkler you can grab at any grocery store for around $20. There's nothing wrong with it, but the markup here is real and the upside is limited.
Allan Scott Sauvignon Blanc + Toasted Ravioli
The Sauvignon Blanc's bright acidity and grassy citrus notes cut through the fried exterior and creamy filling without fighting the dish. It's the kind of pairing that just works — refreshing between bites, gone before you notice.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Ebb & Flow isn't a wine destination, but it's a decent enough place to have a glass while you eat seafood in Legacy West without getting gouged. Catch happy hour, order the Allan Scott, and let the cocktail menu do the heavy lifting.
