The wine list at Gather reads like a greatest-hits album you've heard a hundred times — The Prisoner, Rombauer, Meiomi, Veuve. It's approachable and crowd-friendly, which makes sense for a lively Jackson Hole spot steps from Town Square. Nobody's going to be confused or challenged here, for better and worse.
The list leans hard on California heavy-hitters and Pacific Northwest crowd-pleasers, with a sprinkle of French sparkling to round things out. Rombauer Chardonnay, Decoy Cab, and La Crema Pinot Noir are the kinds of names that move bottles at every mid-tier restaurant in America — reliably good, rarely surprising. There's no real depth into Burgundy, Rhône, Spain, or anywhere that might make a wine person lean forward. The one bright spot is the Oregon presence: Erath Pinot Gris is a quiet nod toward something more regionally interesting.
With an estimated 10–16 by-the-glass options in the $12–$20 range, there's enough to work with across a meal without committing to a bottle. The pours track the bottle list — familiar names, safe choices. Don't expect rotation or anything off the beaten path; what's listed is what you're getting.
Erath Pinot Gris, Oregon — $14
Among a list of California blockbusters, this Oregon Pinot Gris is the quiet overachiever. It's crisp, textured, and actually interesting — and at glass pour prices it's the smartest spend on the menu.
Decoy by Duckhorn Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma
Decoy gets dismissed as a 'second label' but it punches well above its reputation. On a list full of inflated marquee names, this is the Cab that actually delivers drinkability without the ego tax of the bottles sitting next to it.
Meiomi Pinot Noir, California
At $52 a bottle for a wine you can grab at any grocery store for $20, this is a 160% markup on something that's essentially a sweet, fruity crowd-pleaser. It's not worth it here — order a glass of the Erath instead.
La Crema Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast + Bison Bolognese
Bison is leaner and earthier than beef, and La Crema's Sonoma Coast Pinot has just enough red fruit and acid to complement the richness of a slow-cooked bolognese without overwhelming the meat. It's the one combination on this list where the food and wine actually talk to each other.
Daily — $2 off house wine from 5–6 p.m. daily at the bar only. Additional happy hour deals include $3 off well drinks, $5 off specialty cocktails, and $2 off seasonal beers on tap.
✔️ The Bottom Line
Gather is a perfectly fine place to drink wine in Jackson Hole if you're not looking too hard — the list is safe, the markups are steep, and nothing will surprise you. If you want to drink well here, stay selective and lean on the glass pours.
