Wingman Metrics
The Roadhouse is unapologetically a beer place — and honestly, that's fine. But when you flip past the tap list looking for wine, what you find is a lineup that could have been assembled by a liquor store clerk with fifteen minutes and a middling budget. This is not a wine destination.
Six producers, all of them names you've seen on grocery store end-caps: Kendall-Jackson, Meiomi, Decoy, Santa Margherita, Josh Cellars, La Marca. There's no regional depth, no indie producers, no attempt to reflect Wyoming's proximity to some genuinely interesting Pacific Northwest wine country. California mass-market and one Italian crowd-pleaser is the full story here. If you were hoping for a Willamette Valley Pinot or anything with a story behind it, keep hoping.
Glass pours run $9–$14, which sounds reasonable until you remember these are bottles retailing for $14–$25. The by-the-glass list appears to mirror the bottle list almost entirely, meaning your options are the same six familiar faces just poured into a glass instead of sold by the bottle. Rotation does not appear to be a thing here.
Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio Alto Adige — $44
At 83% over retail it's still the least offensive markup on the list, and Santa Margherita is at least a recognizable quality benchmark in the category. If you're locked into ordering wine here, this is the least painful exit.
La Marca Prosecco
Nobody comes to a Wyoming brewpub thinking bubbles, but a glass of Prosecco alongside bar snacks or tacos actually works — it's light, low-commitment, and cuts through fried food better than a heavy Cab ever will. Worth considering if it's available by the glass.
Kendall-Jackson Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay
A 157% markup on a $14 retail bottle is the most egregious number on this list. KJ Vintner's Reserve is a perfectly acceptable supermarket Chardonnay — at $10 at Trader Joe's. At $36 in a brewpub, it's a hard no.
Decoy Cabernet Sauvignon + Signature Pub Burger
Decoy Cab is an easy-drinking, fruit-forward California red with enough body to stand up to a beef patty without overwhelming the whole experience. It's not exciting, but it's the most logical match on a list with very few logical options.
❌ The Bottom Line
Come here for the craft beer — seriously, that's the move. If your table insists on wine, the Santa Margherita won't embarrass anyone, but there's no version of this wine list that earns a recommendation on its own merits.
