Wingman Metrics
The wine list at Texas Roadhouse Sioux Falls is exactly what you'd expect from a chain that's more focused on getting you a bucket of peanuts than a decent pour — short, predictable, and clearly an afterthought. You flip past it in about four seconds on the way to the cocktail page. That's probably the right instinct.
The list runs 10–20 bottles deep and leans entirely on California's biggest mass-market names — think supermarket endcap, not wine list. Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi, Barefoot, and Sutter Home anchor the program, which tells you everything: no regional curiosity, no small producers, no attempt to match the list to the steakhouse-heavy menu. There are no old-world options, no sparkling, and nothing that would make a wine drinker pause for even a moment. This is a wine list that exists because a restaurant legally needs one.
Six to ten pours by the glass, all drawn from the same shallow pool of California grocery brands. There's no rotation, no seasonal thinking, and no reason to expect anything different on your next visit or the one after that. If you're going glass-by-glass here, just order the cocktail instead.
Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon — null
It's the least offensive option on a deeply uninspiring list — at least Woodbridge is a known quantity and won't actively ruin your ribeye. We'd still rather have a beer, but if wine is the call, this is it.
Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon
Not a hidden gem by any stretch, but relative to the rest of the list, the Mondavi Cab is doing the heaviest lifting. It has enough structure to stand up to red meat, which is more than you can say for the White Zinfandel situation happening two lines down.
Sutter Home White Zinfandel
A $7 grocery store blush wine at restaurant markup, served alongside a ribeye. We're not here to police your choices, but we are here to tell you this is not the move.
Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon + Hand-Cut Ribeye
The Cab has just enough dark fruit and tannin to keep pace with a well-marbled ribeye — it's not a great pairing, but it's the best available option on a list that wasn't designed with food pairing in mind.
❌ The Bottom Line
Texas Roadhouse is a perfectly solid place to eat a steak in Sioux Falls — but the wine list is pure filler, stocked with brands you'd find at a gas station and priced like they're doing you a favor. Order a cold beer, a margarita, or just accept the Woodbridge and move on.
