Wingman Metrics
The wine list here feels like an afterthought tucked between 200 draft beer options and a wall of tap handles. Thirteen wines, a handful of which are Canyon Road house pours, tell you everything you need to know about where wine ranks in this establishment's priorities. You're here for beer — and honestly, that's fine.
The featured wines read like a grocery store endcap: Mirassou, Starborough, La Marca, Ecco Domani — all perfectly drinkable, none remotely interesting. There's no regional focus, no adventurous producers, and no coherent through-line beyond 'wine that most people recognize.' The Louis Martini Sonoma Cab is probably the most credible bottle on the list, and that's a low bar to clear. Gaps are everywhere: no rosé, no domestic alternatives beyond California, nothing that would make a wine drinker feel seen.
All 13 wines are available by the glass, ranging from $6 to $12.50, which at least means you're not locked into a bottle of something mediocre. The range covers the obvious bases — a bubbly, a white, a red, a sangria — but rotation appears nonexistent and there's no evidence anyone has touched this list recently.
Louis Martini Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon — $40/bottle
It's the one wine on this list with actual regional credibility. Sonoma Cab from Louis Martini at $40 is a fair ask for a beer bar, and it'll hold up against a burger without embarrassing anyone.
Maso Canali Pinot Grigio
An actual Trentino producer slipped in among the Ecco Domani and Canyon Road crowd. It's the only wine here with a real sense of place — light, crisp, and worth ordering if you're stuck on white.
Madria Sangria
Pre-made sangria in a wine bar setting is a hard pass. You can do better for the price, even on this list.
Starborough Sauvignon Blanc + Wings
New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc's sharp acidity and citrus bite cut through the fat and heat of wings better than anything else on this list. It won't win awards, but it works.
❌ The Bottom Line
The Brass Tap is a genuinely fun beer bar, and if you're ordering wine here, you've made a category error. Stick to the taps — that's what this place is built for.
